Mom, Why Are They Doing This to Me?

Is this not the most pitiful photo you've seen so far?  Abigail has been heavily sedated, but they're slowly pulling her off of it, as they try to balance the necessary amount of sedation, because in some ways it counteracts the healing process.  She is not in pain, but she is somewhere between awake and unconscious. At this moment, her eyes are open, and she seems to be asking, "Mom, why are they doing this to me?"

That really is so sad... You can totally see in her eyes... HELP, GET ME OUT OF HERE!!! She is going to be one tough cookie growing up.

She is SO beautiful!!! It's a little scary when they start to come out of sedation.

Nobody warned me, but when they exubated Owen, he cried but had no voice. An early heads up! :)

We were at the hospital all day today and I was going to stop in with Owen, but I didn't want to risk giving her any illness since we have been out in the world!

Best of luck and prayers!!!

That picture just breaks my heart. She is so adorable! She has been though more in her first week and a half, than a lot of people go though in their life time. You can already tell that she has a really good strong spirit.
